The Tier 1 Jr. ‘B’ Shamrocks picked up 3 of a possible 4 points in their final weekend of regular season play.  Following an 8-8 overtime tie in Nanaimo Saturday, the Rocks needed overtime again Sunday to squeeze out a 9-8 victory over the visiting Maple Ridge Burrards.  Carson Echlin led Victoria’s offense with a hat trick while Jonathon Boyd and Davis McCulley chipped in a goal and 3 helpers each.  Evan Law also had a 4-point night on 2 goals and 2 assists.  Nolan Dalep picked up the win in goal.  While the regular season is over for Victoria, other teams will be playing through the week and next weekend before playoffs begin.

The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks meanwhile have a very big game coming up this Tuesday, July 2 when they will host the Nanaimo Timbermen in an 8:00 start at the Q Center.  Standings are very tight in the league and every point important.
