A new face will be at the helm when the University of Saskatchewan men’s volleyball program takes to the court in 2019, as head coach Nathan Bennett is stepping down to pursue a new opportunity.
Formerly an assistant coach with the Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack, Bennett was hired in the summer of 2018 and quickly took the team a step in the right direction, earning the program’s first playoff appearance since 2016.
“I would like to thank the University of Saskatchewan and Huskie Athletics for allowing me to realize my dream,” Bennett said. “I believe fully in the direction that the Men’s Volleyball program is going and I will miss working with this great group of young men and staff that have been assembled for this coming season.
“The administrative staff for Huskie Athletics are an amazing group of people and I will miss working with them. I would also like to acknowledge the alumni and volleyball community for their contributions over the past year. I feel that Huskie men’s volleyball is in a good state for continued success and I look forward to my new opportunity.”
Huskie Athletics would like to thank Nathan for all of his contributions over the last year and wish him the best moving forward.
