The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks rebounded from a tough double overtime loss Saturday in game 1 of their semi final series as they travelled to New Westminster and regained home floor advantage with a 10-7 victory Sunday. Teioshontathe McComber had the hat trick and 2 helpers to lead Victoria while Ben Preston came up with a 5-assist performance. Austin Madronic had a pair of goals with singles coming from Brayden Brown, Max Wilson, Clark Pickup, Brian Robb and Patrick Dodds. Cam Dunkerley made 35 saves to get the win. Game 3 in the best-of-seven series goes next Saturday, July 20 at the Q Center, a 4:00 pm start.
In the Tier 1 Junior ‘B’ playoffs, the Shamrocks picked up a win Saturday but dropped a 13-8 decision in Langley Sunday, those teams now tied at 1-1 with the third and deciding game scheduled for the Q Center on Tuesday at 5:00 pm.
