BC Rugby will host the U16 Western Canadian Championships at Parkinson Recreation Park in Kelowna between from July 25-28.  A total of 13 Boys’ and Girls’ Rugby XVs teams from BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan will compete over three days of top-level youth rugby.

The U16 Western Canadian Championships, taking place for the second year, were conceived as a vehicle for athlete development and meaningful competition for top junior rugby players.  A number of players at the tournament will be representing their Province for the first time, bringing an extra element of excitement and pride for those taking to the field.

The level of competition is expected to be even higher this year, with each Province continuing to show positive results from youth development programs in clubs and schools.  Furthermore, both Saskatchewan and Manitoba will field teams U16 Girls Division this year, making for a more diverse and exciting fixture line up for all female athletes.

Live streaming will be available for all games played on Field 1 across the three days of competition, providing families and friends across the Western Provinces the chance to be part of the action.

Friday, July 26 – First KO 9:30am, Last KO 1:30pm
Saturday, July 27 – Rest Day – no matches
Sunday, July 28 – First KO 9:00am, Last KO 1:30pm
