The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks took a 3-2 series lead Saturday at the Save-On Foods Memorial Center, handing the visiting New Westminster Salmonbellies a 10-4 loss.

The Rocks led 2-1 and 7-3 by periods and never trailed in the game.  Zach Manns led Victoria’s offense with 5 assists while Teioshontathe McComber and Casey Wilson each chipped in a goal and 3 helpers.

Jackson Boyd and Brian Robb had a pair of goals with singles coming from Patrick Dodds, Ben Preston, Denton Macdonald and Liam Phillips.

Cam Dunkerley made 42 saves on 46 shots before giving way to Brody Harris who stopped all 4 shots he faced.

Game 6 in the series is Sunday at 4:00 in New Westminster and the Rocks can move onto the finals and advance to the Minto Cup with a win.

In the other semi-final series, Coquitlam took a pair of games against the Nanaimo Tmbermen to eliminate the T’Men 4 games to 2.  The Adanacs will host the winner of the Victoria-New Westminster series in the final with both teams moving on to the Minto Cup.
