DEFENSIVE: DESMOND JEANSON DEFENSIVE BACK
It was an exciting season opener at Exhibition Stadium in Chilliwack, and Huskers veteran defensive back Desmond Jeansen brought his “A” game against a highly charged Rebels offense. The Huskers came out on the wrong end of a 21-20 score, but the Winnipeg native Jeanson lead the way on the defensive side of the ball with 4 tackles,1 knockdown and 2 Interceptions for 35 total yards. The Huskers enter the 2019 season with a rebuilt defense, one that looks to be stingy and loaded with talent.
Desmond, a staple with the Huskers, looks to be a big part of what should be a solid group in 2019.
