The Tier 1 Jr. B Shamrocks jumped out to a 6-1 first period lead and ran off with an 11-6 victory over the visiting South Okanagan Flames Saturday at the Q Center in game 1 of the 2-game, total-goal series for the Provincial Tier 1 championship.

Leading the way offensively for the Rocks was Cameron Lumb with a hat trick and an assist.  Jonathon Boyd had a goal and 4 helpers while Brodie Wade had 2 goals and an assist.  Other goals came from Cole Arthur, Carson Echlin, Graham Goodfellow, Rhys McDonald, and Brody Strugnell.

Davis McCulley chipped in 4 assists and Adam Bland was strong between the pipes to pick up the win.  Game 2 is tomorrow at noon at the Q Center and that will wrap the season for the Shamrocks.
