The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks scored 4 overtime goals to pick up a semi-final win against the Okotoks Raiders Monday at the Minto Cup in Langley.
Okotoks led 3-2 and 7-6 by period before Victoria scored the final 2 goals in period 3 to tie the score and then added 4 more including a couple of empty-netters to pick up the 12-8 win. Austin Madronic, Brian Robb, Zach Manns and Patrick Dodds each had a pair of goals to lead the offense. Singles came from Ben Preston, Jackson Boyd, Teioshontathe McComber and Liam Phillips while Brayden Brown chipped in 4 assists.
Cam Dunkerley made 41 saves to pick up the win in goal and Kyle Pepper was masterful in the faceoff circle.
All teams will enjoy a day off before the Shamrocks and the Orangeville Northman play game 1 in the best-of-five final series beginning Wednesday.
