For the 10th September in a row the Heat volleyball programs, both the men and the women, team up with the local group from the Parkinson Society British Columbia and provide smiles, high-fives and labour for the annual Parkinson SuperWalk.
The UBCO student-athletes were among the hundreds of people that took part at the event this Saturday morning at the Waterfront Park, all walking, rolling, running, and strolling with the purpose of raising funds to find a cure for Parkinson disease in Kelowna.
The SuperWalk is the single most important provincial and national awareness and fundraising event for Parkinson Society British Columbia as numerous communities across the country will organize walks on the weekend of September 7 & 8 to raise funds for critical programs, support services, advocacy efforts and contributions to research.
