Rochelle Low has given field hockey its first inductee in the Canada West Hall of Fame.
The former Victoria standout was announced Friday as the latest addition to the conference’s Hall of Fame, as the final two weeks of the 2019 CW season are set to unfold.
Low starred for Victoria from 1987-1990 before wrapping up her career with a final season in 1992.
She opened her her university career by being named CIAU Rookie of the Year, before culminating her student-athlete experience by earning the Liz Hoffman Award as CIAU Player of the Year in 1992.
In terms of team accomplishments, Low was part of five Canada West titles and three national championships.
She competed at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, before retiring from the national team in 1994.
