The Penticton Vees are pleased to announced forward Lukas Sillinger and defenseman Evan McIntyre will attend Team Canada West selection camp ahead of the 2019 World Junior ‘A’ Challenge, taking place in Dawson Creek, BC.
Sillinger, 19, is in his 3rd season with the Vees and has registered 11 goals and 19 assists for 30 points in 26 games played this season. The Regina, Saskatchewan native has earned 32 goals and 44 assists for 76 points over 116 career games in the BCHL while coming off of his first career five-point night on November 13th against Salmon Arm.
McIntyre, 19, is currently in his second season with Penticton, joining the team in January last season. The Ohio State University commit has compiled 5 goals and 7 assists for 12 points thus far during the 2019/20 campaign. The Oakville, Ontario native has scored 8 goals while adding 11 assists for 19 points in his 44 career games with the Vees.
Sillinger and McIntyre are two of 44 hopefuls that will take part in the selection camp, which runs from December 1st to 3rd at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta. Team Canada West will kick off the tournament against the United States on December 7th from the Encana Events Centre in Dawson Creek.
