Joell Fiddler patrolled the blueline for five seasons with the University of Regina’s women’s hockey team, finishing her career as their all-time defencemen scoring leader.
A standout between 1999 and 2004, Fiddler was inducted Wednesday into the Canada West Hall of Fame.
A CW First Team All-Star in all five of her seasons, Fiddler was twice named an All-Canadian (First Team in 2001 and Second Team in 2004). She set team records for most points by a blueliner in a career with 87, and the single-season record with 28 (2002-03).
Fiddler played a key role on Regina’s historic 2000-01 team that won the Canada West title and went on to capture silver at the CIAU championships. She also helped Regina reach the national tournament in 2002 and 2003.
