Esquimalt high school (Dockers) defeated Edward Milne Community School (Wolverines) by a score of 62-50 on Wednesday night. The game proved to a well-balanced game as both teams went back and forth. despite Esquimalt being the number one team with a record of 4-0 in the 3A league and Edward Milne having a record of 0-2, The Wolverines were able to hold their ground.
The Wolverines went on to maintain a steady lead with the Dockers clawing back at every opportunity they had to regain the lead. The 3rd quarter ended at a score of 38-45 for Edward Milne putting the home crowd in a state of worry. It wouldn’t be long as Esquimalt was able to hold Edward Milne to only 5 points in the total quarter proving to be enough to come back.
