Ty Ettinger

The Victoria Royals have acquired the rights to defenceman Ty Ettinger (2000) from the Winnipeg ICE in exchange for an eighth round pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.

The product of Androssan, AB has split this season between the ICE and the Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). Ettinger has registered one assist in 11 games for Winnipeg and eight points (3g-5a) in 19 games with Fort McMurray.

Over the course of his 88 game WHL career (2017-present), with Winnipeg, the Brandon Wheat Kings and Vancouver Giants, Ettinger had recorded 11 points (2g-9a) and 89 penalty minutes.

The 6-1, 190 lb blueliner was originally selected by Brandon in the fifth round, 95th overall, in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.
