Victoria Highlanders FC are pleased to announce their schedule for the 2020 Pacific Coast Soccer League (PCSL) season, as well as two matches against USL2 side Vancouver TSS Rovers for the Juan De Fuca Plate.

The 2020 campaign will see the Highlanders return to the PCSL as one of ten teams vying for the Sheila Anderson Memorial Challenge Cup, as well as the return of the Highlanders to Royal Athletic Park.  14 games will make up the PCSL schedule for the Highlanders, with seven to be played at home (Royal Athletic Park) and seven matches to be played as the visiting team.

“It’s going to be a fun season back at Royal Athletic Park,” stated Highlanders GM Mark deFrias. “Working alongside the Victoria Harbourcats, Royal Athletic Park is going to be the home of high-level amateur sport in Victoria. We are happy to be sharing the space with Jim Swanson and his team.”

The Highlanders open their 2020 Pacific Coast Soccer League schedule at home on Saturday, May 9th, against PSC Tim Hortons Pinnacles with a 4:00 PM kickoff at Royal Athletic Park. This will be the first of four-straight home games for the black and gold to start the PCSL season.

“The PCSL will provide a great opportunity for our residency players and ambitious community players to train in a professional environment over the summer months,” added deFrias. “We have some exciting news to announce in the near future and this season will serve as a key cog as we move forward to 2021 and beyond.”

However, the Highlanders soccer season will kick off on Sunday, May 3rd, with a 2:00 PM kick off at Royal Athletic Park, as they host Vancouver TSS Rovers in the first-leg of the Juan De Fuca Plate. The second-leg will take place a week later on Sunday, May 10th, at Swanguard Stadium with a 2:00 PM start time.
