The Victoria Shamrocks are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of long-time board member and General Manager Lloyd Robbie after a brief illness.

Robbie was a long-time contributor to the game of lacrosse, being a key member of the executive team that resurrected the Victoria Shamrocks from the brink of dissolution in the early 90s, as well as a contributor to the success of the Victoria Legion and Eagles Junior “A” team in 1988 and 1991.

With the Shamrocks, Robbie was the General Manager for eleven years, participating in eight Mann Cups, winning four of them during the Shamrocks run of post-season success in the late 90s and early 00s.

Along with his Mann Cup rings, Robbie was honoured as the WLA Executive of the Year in 1997 and 2001, WLA General Manager of the Year in 2003, and the 2003 Victoria Sportsman of the Year.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is currently no service planned.
