Curl BC will be postponing the 2021 BC Mixed Doubles Curling Championship by one month – and monitoring Provincial Health Officer restrictions.
The event is now scheduled to take place at Chilliwack Curling Club from Feb. 10-14, 2021.
The decision to postpone had been made before the pause on adult curling was in place. The pause has no expiration date; however, it is possible that the PHO could lift the restrictions before those dates. Curl BC will be monitoring the situation and updating potential participants if plans need to change.
If you have registered already, your entry will be carried forward to this event or be refunded upon request. The registration deadline will not be extended beyond the Dec. 13, 2020, deadline.
As announced on Tuesday, the winner of this event will participate in the Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship on Mar. 16-26 at Curling Canada’s Hub event planned for Calgary. If the BC event cannot go ahead as planned, the 2020 winners – Steph Jackson-Baier and Corey Chester from Victoria – will be eligible to represent BC.
