Three Vancouver Island Girls ,Lauryn Gladstone, Niayah Morris and Taya Lonsdale will be headed to Edmonton on Friday August 13th to take part in a very elite tournament called War For The Roses , North America’s Elite Girls Hockey Event Series at the West Edmonton Mall.
Lauryn Gladstone will be playing in goal for the 2008 Jr Lady Canucks while both Niayah Morris and Taya Lonsdale will suit up for the 2007 Jr Lady Canucks.
They all have just returned from a 3 day training camp in Richmond where they were on the ice with their respective teams for 5-7 ice sessions. This would be the first time that they met some of their team mates for the tourney. This team has been assembled for this specific tourney and was invite only.
The team is made up of elite female players from across British Columbia and the Yukon. The Jr Lady Canucks were the only team invited to represent BC/Yukon at the tournament.
