The 2007 BC Jr Lady Canucks win top prize at the prestigious elite female hockey tourney War for the Roses held in West Edmonton mall. The 07’s played a feisty team from Manitoba/Saskatchewan in the final.

The team battled hard with Island player Taya Lansdale, playing stellar defence holding strong in front of her net and Island Reign girl Niayah Morris potting the winning goal to lead the team to a3-2 final and the gold metal.

The 2008 team met up with a very strong age group of girls from across Canada. The tourney didn’t go as planned but were in every game played.

Local Reign goalie Lauryn Gladstone held her own stopping 30+ shots in every game she played. The girls made some new friends that they will for sure meet up with again down the road at some rink in some town.
