The Victoria Royals have traded 2002-born goalie Connor Martin to the Seattle Thunderbirds for an eighth-round pick in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
Martin signed with the Royals in 2018 after participating in the Royals 2017 training camp where he made a memorable impression on coaching staff. The 18-year-old spent three seasons with Victoria playing in 12 games earning a 0.883 SV% and a 3.71 GAA.
“We want to thank Connor for his contribution to the Royals and we wish him all the best with Seattle,” GM and Head Coach Dan Price said. “He has a strong veteran presence in the net and he’s joining a great organization in the Thunderbirds.”
