November 4, 2021. Kamloops, BC (ISN) – With the Westshore Rebels looking on the outside of a 2021 playoff berth this season, their on field woes continued as they fell to the 0-6 Broncos by a score of 18-7 last Saturday in Kamloops, BC in their final game of the year in near-freezing temperatures.

Although every team suffers from injuries especially at this time of the season, the Rebels were hit especially hard with twenty-two players on the IR and not dressing for the final game of the season.

For the Broncos, it was a special victory as they home team clawed out a spirited first victory since the 2017 season, perhaps saving the franchise from inevitable demise.

For the Rebels, the off season will be one of reflection for Head Coach Shane Beatty and president Rob Lervold, as they dissect this seasons disappointment. It is with certainty that the Westshore team will look to make some off season moves on both sides of the sideline in an effort to right the ship that saw the team play in the Canadian Junior Football League final against the Saskatoon Hilltops in 2016, and return to the BCFC Championship game in 2019, falling to the Langley Rams.

ISN and Rebels’ team photographer Erich Eichhorn brings us this look at some of the Rebels action from their final game of the season.
