November 27, 2021. Victoria, BC ( ISN ) – The Claremont Spartans field lacrosse team dominated over the visiting Mercer Island Islanders, defeating their USA counterparts handily in “Friday Night Under The Lights” at the University of Victoria.
The two-day Spartan’s Shootout tournament, running Friday and Saturday ( November 26-27 ) , is noted as one of the most competitive high school tournaments in the Pacific Northwest.
Friday night was a night to pay tribute to Claremont’s 2021/2022 graduating players and parents as well as a featured fund raiser event. This year the Spartan Lacrosse is contributing to “Emily’s Journey” for 2015 Claremont graduate Emily Cox who was stricken with a form of bone cancer, osteosarcoma. A GoFundMe page was created by family, friends and Claremont graduates has raised in excessive of $50,000 of the $75,000 goal.
