The VIU Mariners women’s basketball team sits at the top of the PACWEST standings at the Christmas / exam break with an 8-0 record. They are a veteran laced team that has been dominating the opposition winning all but one game so far by double-digitals.
The motor of the Mariners is their point guard Amber Lease in her final campaign. She is tied for the team lead averaging 12.3 points a game and leads the Conference with an average of six assists a contest.
