The last year that the Western Lacrosse Association played was 2019.Draft orders for 2020 and 2021 were in reverse order of the 2019 final standings.Tonight, the WLA Draft order for 2022 was determined via a lottery.Team names were drawn randomly and assigned pick positions from 1st to 7th. For the second round, teams were given their pick order in reverse of the lottery order.
The Nanaimo Timbermen drew 2nd pick overall (which also gave them 13th overall selection), and Island rival Victoria drew 6th and 9th picks overall.
On February 3, the WLA will be posting the 2022 game schedule, and at 7:00 pm on February 10 will be conducting the WLA Draft. To see the WLA Draft live, visit wlalacrosse.com.
