Pacific FC won a second consecutive match to begin their title defence, defeating Valour FC 3-2 at Starlight Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Marco Bustos contributed three assists, setting up goals for Manny Aparicio and Alejandro Diaz in the first half, while an own goal from Kunle Dada-Luke brought Valour back within one. A penalty save from Jonathan Sirois to deny Bustos meant that it was only 2-1 entering the break, but Josh Heard made it three 10 minutes after play resumed, again set up by Pacific’s number 10.
Moses Dyer made it 3-2 with a stoppage time penalty, but it would be the last kick of the game in a losing effort from Valour.
