Renton, Wash. – The Seattle Seahawks 2022 schedule was announced this evening by the National Football League. It features three home prime-time games, two in the regular season and one in the preseason, a trip to Munich, Germany, to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10 and three 10 a.m. starts. This season, NFC teams play nine homes games, as the two conferences alternate the extra home game since the 17-game schedule was introduced in 2021.
Aiming to return to the postseason for the 10th time in 13 seasons during John Schneider and Pete Carroll’s tenure, the Seahawks will play nine games against 2021 playoff teams, with home games vs. Super Bowl LVI champion Los Angeles Rams, Arizona, San Francisco and AFC wild card participant Las Vegas.
Opening at home for just the eighth time since the 2000 season, Seattle makes its lone appearance on Monday Night Football when it hosts the Denver Broncos (9/12). The Seahawks are an NFL-best 27-12 on Monday nights and hold a 22-5 record in home prime-time games since 2010. It will also be the first time in franchise history that the Seahawks have opened a season on Monday Night Football.
Seattle then plays three of the next four games on the road; opening NFC West play at San Francisco (9/18), home vs. Atlanta (9/25) and back-to-back 10 a.m. starts at Detroit (10/2) and at New Orleans (10/9). The Seahawks are 21-7 in their last twenty-eight 10 a.m. kickoff starts and have won 13 of their last 14 early kickoffs since 2018.
Prior to the longest trip of the year, Seattle alternates home and away games as it faces the Cardinals (10/16), at L.A. Chargers (10/23), the Giants (10/30) and the Cardinals again, this time on the road (11/6).
The team travels 5,284 miles to play Tampa Bay (11/13) in the first-ever NFL regular season game in Germany. The game will take place at Allianz Arena, home of FC Bayern Munich.
Following a Week 11 bye, Seattle plays five of its last seven games at home. A road game at the Rams (12/4) is sandwiched between home games vs. Las Vegas (11/27) and the Carolina Panthers (12/11). It will be the 11th meeting with Carolina, including postseason, since the 2010 season.
On a short week, Seattle makes its second prime-time appearance of the season as it faces the San Francisco 49ers (12/15) on Thursday Night Football, followed by a Saturday Christmas Eve match-up at Kansas City. The Seahawks end the regular season hosting the Jets (1/1/23) and the Rams, with the day and time to be announced by the NFL at a later date.
Preseason and regular season games can be heard on Seattle Sports 710AM and KIRO Newsradio 97.3FM. Both preseason road games can be seen on KING 5. For regions outside the Puget Sound area, check Seahawks.com for a list of Seahawks television and radio network affiliates.
