The Nanaimo Timbermen have had their best season since joining the WLA in 2005, finishing with a 12-6 record. They have also played their best lacrosse in the latter portion of the season, finishing with 8 wins in their last 10 games.
Three other teams ended their season with the same 12-6 record. A head-to-head tie-breaking process was used to assign the final league standings – the Timbermen landed in 3rd place and will be playing the Coquitlam Adanacs in the first round of the playoffs. Games start Saturday night in Coquitlam, with the Timbermen returning for game 2 in Nanaimo Monday night, 7:00pm, at the Frank Crane Arena.
