August 13, 2022. Kelowna, BC (ISN) – The Westshore Rebels suffered their first defeat on the BCFC season to fall to 3-1, humbled by the still undefeated Okanagan Sun 65-29 Saturday night at the Apple Bowl Stadium in Kelowna, BC.  For the Suns, they improve to 3-0 to take sole possession of first place in the BC Football Conference.

The Rebels would take a 2-0 lead early in the first quarter on a conceded Suns safety, but would relinquish the lead back to the hosts who would explode for fifty-one points by the half to lead the Rebels 51-8 and never look back.  The Rebels would continue the fight despite the uphill cause, adding another 21 points in their favour with the game already out of reach by the Sun.

The Westshore Rebels will regroup next over the next two weeks and get ready to host the currently fourth place Kamloops Broncos August 27th at Starlight Stadium in Langford, BC.

Here is a look at some of the action for Rebels fans as seen through ISN and Rebels photographer Erich Eichhorn’s lens.
