Belmont grad Juliana Parkes had herself quite a March of ball! The Victoria born Parkes who played her ball with the Langford Lightning and Victoria Devils,and a current freshman at Division III Manhattanville College in New York, has been named Skyline Conference Softball Rookie of the Week for the week.
Parkes is on a 6 game hitting streak, and hit .643 on the week, going 9 for 14, driving in 6 runs and scoring 5 in 4 games. Parkes is among the season leaders on her team in average, hits, runs, and RBIs, and was also named Valiant of the Week by her school for the same period.
