May 6th, 2023. Victoria, BC ( ISN )  – The Inaugural Doug Hudlin Charitable Society Baseball Tourney opened Saturday afternoon in Victoria. Hosted by National Little League, the opening game pitted the home team Nationals against cross-town rival Beacon Hill.

Doug Hudlin worked for the City of Victoria but his love was being on the field as an umpire to generations of Island ball Players.

ISN photographer Erich Eichhorn was on hand for the opening pitch to bring you this look at some of the action. Games continue Sunday, starting at 10:00 am .
