Canada will have their home fans on their side for a crucial Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinals that doubles as a qualification match for the CONMEBOL Copa America USA 2024™. Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team’s away-and-home series wraps up in Toronto on Tuesday 21 November when they host the second leg against a yet-to-be determined nation from the 2023/24 Concacaf Nations League Group Stage. Canada’s opponent will be determined this month during the FIFA international window.

“We are thrilled to be returning to Toronto among a sea of red for such an important match. The stadium has become a fortress for our men’s national team and we are looking forward to giving fans another big moment to celebrate,” said Mauro Biello, interim Head Coach, Men’s National Team.

Tickets to the Canada match in Toronto will go on sale to the public on Friday 20 October. In advance of the launch of public ticket sales, exclusive presale windows will be offered to members of Canada Soccer’s CanadaRED membership program as well as Visa cardholders.

Canada were one of four nations that qualified for the 2023-24 Concacaf Nations League Quarterfinals as one of the top-four seeded nations in the region alongside Costa Rica, Mexico and USA. Four more Concacaf nations will advance to the Quarterfinals through the September-October Group Phase after which the four winners of the Quarterfinals advance to the Concacaf Semifinals and qualify for the Copa América.

“The goal is always to put our players in environments where they are playing competitive and meaningful matches. The November window does just that, as we aim to qualify for next year’s Copa America,” added Biello.

In all, six Concacaf nations will qualify for the Copa América, so while the four Concacaf winners from the Quarterfinals advance to the Concacaf Nations League Finals in March 2024, the other four nations will advance to Concacaf play-in matches (also played in March 2024) to complete the Concacaf group for the Copa América that runs 20 June through 14 July 2024.

Canada were runners up in the 2022-23 edition of Concacaf Nations League when, under a different format, they won their group and then beat Panama in the Concacaf Semifinals before losing to USA in the Concacaf Final.
