Callum Weir secured two clean sheets in victories for the UVic Vikes against UBC Okanagan and Thompson Rivers last week. Weir had three saves in 2-0 win over UBCO on Friday and another three saves in 1-0 win over the WolfPack on Saturday. Weir and the Vikes, who moved up to being ranked tenth in the country, are back in action Friday to face the UFV Cascades and the Trinity Western Spartans on Saturday.
Women’s Soccer Player of the Week: Ally Rowe, Cape Breton

Ally Rowe, a fourth-year striker for the CBU Capers set two conference records this past week as the Capers swept their two matchups. Rowed had 6 shots on goal in 1-0 win over Memorial on Friday and scored every goal in 6-0 win over Mount Allison on Sunday. Her six-goal performance broke the AUS single game record of five (set in 2005 by Tessa Roche of UPEI). Rowe now also holds the conference record for goals in a single season with 19 (the old record of 16, set by CBU’s Karolyne Blain in 2014). Rowe stands 2nd in the U SPORTS ranking with 19 goals and 22 points.
