This past weekend, Victoria Highland Dance Association held their annual Spooky Competition in Victoria, drawing a large number of talented dancers. ISN Sports photographer Paul Williams was on-site to capture the thrilling moments of the event. From the intensity of the Special Earl categories to the elegance of the Premier dancers, every performance was a testament to skill and dedication.
The event featured standout performances across all categories, with the overall winners as follows:
- Special Earl 17 & Over: Zaira Walshe (Cassandra Karras School of Highland Dance & Bon Accord)
- Special Earl 16 & Under: Cora Kiesman
- Premier 21 & Over: Taryn Neligan (Heather Jolley Highland Dance)
- Premier 16 & Under 21: Tavia Knoke
- Premier Under 16: Allison McBride (Cassandra Karras School of Highland Dance)
- Intermediate: Poppy Wagg & Kaleia Hodson (Kathy White’s Highland Dance Academy)
- Group Choreography: Friendship Overboard
- Novice 11 & Over: Marley Babiy (Cassandra Karras School of Highland Dance) Sienna Douglas (Kathy White’s Highland Dance Academy),
- Novice 10 & Under: Patrick Garde (Alexandra Macphail Highland Dance), Grace Williams (Brigadoon Dance Academy)
- Novice Trophy Fling: Marley Babiy (Cassandra Karras School of Highland Dance)
Additionally, there was a heartfelt tribute to Lynne Griffith, honouring her long-standing years as a dedicated dance teacher.
