April 5, 2025. Langford, BC (ISN) –  The Pacific FC Football Club of the Canadian Premier League recorded their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over the visiting Valour FC at Starlight Stadium in Langford, BC.

Pacific FC goalkeeper Max Anchor , made his debut for Pacific FC in the season opener Saturday and came away with his first clean sheet for his new club . The 20-year-old Burnaby native, came through the Whitecaps FC academy. He spent 2024 with Whitecaps FC 2 and was then named to the club’s senior roster ahead of the 2025 Major League Soccer season. Anchor joined the Tridents on March 14 on a loan from the Whitecaps, and his addition will is expected to strengthen the squad’s depth.

Pacific FC would do all their scoring in the first half of play to raise fans out of their seats .  Victoria native Dario Zanatta would be opportunistic, putting the Tridents on the board in the first half after Valour’s goal keeper Jonathan Viscosi was unable control a ball put on net.  Ronan Kratt would net the Trident’s second score on a shot from deep on the right wing to catch Viscosi seemingly by surprise as the ball dropped in behind the goalkeeper to deflect in off the far post to beat the Valour net netminder.

Despite ball possession in favour of the vistors, Pacific FC would make the most of their chances to come away with the 2-0 victory.

The Tridents will next host Forge FC at Starlight Stadium, April 12th.  Game time is 2:00 pm.
