Victoria Grizzlies Fall To Chilliwack Chiefs In Game 4 Coastal Conference Final

May 7th, 2025 Victoria, BC (ISN) – The Victoria Grizzlies of the BCHL have now their backs against the wall in the Coastal Conference final after a 1-0 loss to the #1 seeded Chilliwack Chiefs, and now down 3-1 in the series.

After taking game one on the road in Chilliwack, the Grizzlies have not been able to solve the Chiefs, dropping the following three games and putting themselves in a do-or-die scenario, on the road, in Chilliwack, BC on Friday, May 9th in front of 1276 fans at the Q Centre in Colwood, BC.

In what was a night of tight-checking and few opportunities, Brady Milburn of the Chiefs would make good of this team in the second half period, able to push the puck past Grizzlies’ net minder Kyle Kelsey at the goal mouth  for his 8th goal of the post season.  Kelsey would stop 25 of 26 Chief’s shots on net, while his Chilliwack counterpart, Quentin Miller, would post a clean sheet, turning aside all 28 shots he faced to record his second shutout of the playoffs.

Both teams respecting teach other’s power play, would only visit the box a total of five times throughout out the game.

Chiefs goalie Miller would earn the game’s first star, with Victoria’s Tobias Pitka, and Chiefs Mateo Mrsic would take 2nd and 3rd star honors respectively.

Game 5 will be played at the Chilliwack Coliseum. Puck drop 7pm.
