In the final installment of the Island Rivalry for this season the Mariners dominated the Chargers and put an exclamation mark on the game outscoring them 20-5 in the final frame. The Mariners shot 40% from the field led by Amber Lease and her 21 points and seven rebounds. Avery Snider came off the bench and dropped 20 points in the win.
The offence for the Chargers struggled shooting just 20% from the field and 23% from behind the arch. Jasmine de Vries led her club with nine points.
The Mariners (17-1) finish the season on an eight game winning streak and will get a first round bye into a PACWEST semi-final. The Chargers (11-7) meanwhile finish third and will face the sixth seeded Okanagan Coyotes (5-13) in a PACWEST quarterfinal on Thursday February 28th at Douglas College.

The Blues (14-4) completely dominated the Coyotes in the first half and cruised to a 26 point win. They outscored the Coyotes 31-13 in the first half and shot 40% from the field. All 10 players scored at least one basket and Sherrie Errico was the only player to score double-digits finishing with 14 points.
The Coyotes (5-13) shot just 28% from the field in their regular season finale and were led by Elizabeth Henne and her 13 points. They have finished sixth in the standings and will play in a PACWEST quarterfinal on Thursday February 28th when they meet the Camosun Chargers (11-7).
