Five graduates of the Claremont Lacrosse Academy have earned an appearance in the Northeast Conference Tournament Championship Game with the Robert Morris University Men’s Lacrosse Team.
Eddie Smith and Daniel Smith are Seniors with RMU. Brad McCulley is a Sophomore and Colton Lidstone and Will Johansen joined the team this year as freshman. RMU, out of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, earned their way into the tournament with a 16-15 OT win over conference rivals Hobart and advanced through the semifinal round today with a 13-12 OT win over Mount St. Mary.
Notable on the day was the performance of Eddie Smith who contributed two highlight reel goals. The NEC Championship game will be played Saturday May 4 when RMU meets the winner of the Hobart and Sacred Heart matchup.
The Claremont players were coached by Darren Reisig and Chris Mckay and are now coached by Drew McMinn at RMU.
