June 8th, 2019 – Victoria, BC (ISN) – There is nothing more intriguing in North American sports as the head to head competition between Canada and the USA as the two sides will square off in the second and deciding game of the U20 World Rugby Qualifier to be held Saturday night at Shawnigan Lake School at 5 pm.
In game one action, Canada would dominate most of the first half of play, notching five trys before the USA would show some resilience late to close out the opening half 25-14.
The USA would continue to put the pressure on Canada to open the second frame, temporarily taking the lead away from Canada, but Canada would clamp down on their tackling and with the help of of some great open field running by Quinn Ngawati would sprint back infant to secure a 44-33 victory.
The winner by aggregate score will qualify for the Junior World Cup help in Brazil this July. The USA will have to defeat Canada by twelve points to take the berth away from the Canadian hosts.
