Jesse King

The Victoria Shamrocks picked up their first win at home tonight in a statement 15 – 10 win over the New Westminster Salmonbellies.

The two clubs traded goals in the first period before Victoria took and held the lead in the second period. Jesse King and Larson Sundown led the charge for the green and white, scoring four goals each, with King also contributing five assists. Bell (2), Boushy (2), Hossack (1), Sorichetti (1), and Pickup (1) also found the back of the net against netminders Alexis Buque and Neil Tyacke.

Cody Hagedorn picked up the win, stopping 33 of 40 shots. Unsurprisingly, the three stars went to the three offensive powerhouses in tonight’s game: Tyler Burton, the third star with 23 faceoff wins in 27 setups, Larson Sundown second star, and Jesse King first star.

The Shamrocks are back in action Sunday evening against the Maple Ridge Burrards. Join the club for a pre-game tailgate party starting at 4pm to celebrate Alumni Night; doors open at 5pm, and face off at 6pm.
