Schools out and the District 7 Little League kicked off today at Hollywood Park in Fairfield. Beacon Hill is the host club this year with Layritz, Lakehill, Hampton, Central Saanich and Nationals all vying for the chance to play in the Provincials in Vancouver July 13-21
Three games were played today with Hampton Park defeating Victoria Nationals 11-1.
The second game; Layritz defeated Beacon Hill 13-3 and the third and final game of the evening was Lakehill taking on Central Saanich. Lakehill defeated Central Saanich 20-2.
The round-robin format continues all week with the championship game being played Sunday, July 7th.
