The Tier 1 Jr. ‘B’ Shamrocks advanced to the semi-finals Tuesday with a hard-fought 10-9 win over the visiting Langley Thunder, taking the series 2 games to 1.

The Rocks led 6-2 after the first period but Langley rallied to close the gap and Victoria held an 8-6 lead after 2.  With the scored tied at 9 just past the halfway mark of period 3, Cameron Lumb scored what proved to be the winner at 14:23 as the home team held on for the win.  Jonathon Boyd led Victoria offensively with the hat trick and 2 assists while Isaac Swan had 2 goals and 3 helpers for a 5-point night.

Cameron Lumb had a pair of goals and 2 assists with Evan Law and Carson Echlin each chipping in a goal and 3 assists.

Matthew Hermsen had the other Shamrocks goal and Nolan Dalep went the distance in goal to pick up the win.

 

Victoria will go on to face the Delta Islanders in one semi final, expected to start on the weekend while Coquitlam will take on the Richmond Roadrunners in the other.
