November 16, 2019 Colwood, BC (ISN) – The BC Rugby Union’s newest addition to the league, Rugby Canada’s Pacific Pride, remained unbeaten with a 33-5 win over Westshore RFC Saturday afternoon at Juan de Fuca Field.
The Pacific Pride, coached by Rugby Canada Alumnis Jamie Cudmore, have had there way with all comers in the five games they have played this season to post a fifth place standing after the cross-town win Saturday. With three games in hand, the Pacific Pride are sure to make a run for top spot before long, keeping pressure on the perennial favourite Burnaby Lakers.
The Pacific Pride would take a 19-0 lead to start the second half of play before Westshore would find the try line to erase the nil score. The Pride would continue on, scoring the next two tries for the 33-5 victory.
Next weekend Westshore RFC will host the Capilano Caps, while the Pacific Pride will journey south of the border to take on the Seattle Saracens at Starfire Field.
