With the 2020 Women’s Final Paralympic Qualification Tournament fast approaching, Team Canada has announced its roster that will be fighting for a spot in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games. The tournament takes place February 26 to 29 at the Canada Games Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

“We are looking forward to competing on home soil in Halifax,” said Canada’s head coach, Nicole Ban. “We know we have to face some tough competitors in the winner-takes-all tournament, but we are up for the challenge knowing we will have the support of friends, family and the Nova Scotia volleyball community.”

The team is currently in its final phase of preparation for the event.

Canada kicks off the tournament on February 26 against Slovenia and then closes the day with another game against Germany. Their toughest match comes on day two when they face off against Ukraine before closing the round-robin play against Finland on February 28.

The first two days of the tournament are free. Tickets for the semis and finals can be purchased here.
