Talon Hird (blue) defeated Elijah Lazar in the Championship final of the 54-kg weight class in 2019 at the B.C. Secondary School Wrestling Championships presented by Onni Group.
Hird, a Grade 12 student at Cowichan Secondary, is attempting to win his fifth consecutive gold medal when the Championships return to Langley Events Centre February 16 and 17.
