The Brown Cup was ready for its 29th annual race between the Vikes and University of British Columbia Thunderbirds on the Gorge Waterways on March 28, but it too has been cancelled.
The Celebration of Champions Banquet was scheduled for April 1 at the Victoria Conference Centre. Along with handing out the yearly athletic awards, Christina Proteau and Trish Wellmann-Fougner would have been inducted into the UVic Sports Hall of Fame.
The Graduating Athletes Ceremony was an annual event where all varsity athletes that spent at least three years with the program and any other athletes graduating their educational programs gather at the University Club and receive a commemorative gift thanking them for their time and success with the Vikes.
Men’s rugby saw their game in Vancouver against the Thunderbirds over the weekend get cancelled. Men’s and women’s golf were supposed to compete in a tournament this week in California, but that has also been cancelled.
