The BC Games Society is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors. Both will contribute their unique expertise and leadership to build upon the Society‘s success in sport and community development.
The new Board Directors include:
Niki Remesz, owner of Uniquely Inspired Marketing and President of the Kamloops 2018 BC Winter Games
Christine Ulmer, Senior Manager of Marketing, Communications, and Engagement at the City of Vancouver
“On behalf of the BC Games Society, I would like to welcome Niki and Christine to the Board of Directors and thank outgoing members, Sarah Zimmerman and Simon Whitfield for their six years of exceptional service,” says Jamey Paterson, Board Chair of the BC Games Society.
Paterson has been the Chair of the BC Games Society Board of Directors since 2017.
“The Board of Directors play a vital and important role in ensuring the success and effectiveness of the Society. As we look ahead, Niki and Christine are outstanding additions to our Board and we are excited about the expertise that they bring as we continue to enhance our programming,” said Alison Noble, President and CEO of the BC Games Society.
The BC Games Society is the leadership organization that guides the BC Winter and BC Summer Games and prepares Team BC for national multi-sport games. The 14-member board is appointed by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture and is responsible for setting policy and direction to ensure the objectives of the society are met.
