July 22, 2021 Victoria, BC (ISN) – Nearly three weeks ago many watched as the Canadian Men’s Basketball team’s hopes of qualifying for a 2020 Tokyo Olympic berth were dashed, falling in overtime to a hot-shooting Czech side that eventually won the Olympic qualifier, punching their ticket to Tokyo, Japan.
ISN was on hand to bring you game highlights and imagery of Canada’s failed bid, but did you know that for a photographer, such as ISN photographer Erich Eichhorn, that there is sometimes more to the imagery than meets the eye when technology meets creativity. In this digital age, seeing the picture inside the picture and and how to maximize each image’s potential normally comes after press submission deadlines are met. Sometimes it’s how you crop an image, sometimes it’s a filter tweak, sometimes it’s an image away from the action where it’s unexpected.
