The West Kelowna Warriors bounce the Trail Smoke Eaters by a score of 7-3 Friday night.

It was an eventful first period with the Warriors Felix Trudeau scoring his 12th off a rebound to make it 1-0. Then the Smoke Eaters would even things up on the powerplay with Teddy Lagerback scoring his 6th of the year to tie it up at one. Both Johnny Derrick and Smoke Eaters goaltender Evan Fradette would make sensational saves to keep the game tied up heading into the second frame.

The second period was just as exciting as the first. The Smoke Eaters would score only 30 seconds into the period with Charlie Strobel scoring his 4th to make it 2-1 Smoke Eaters. The Warriors would then score 3 unanswered goals. First it was Chase Dafoe who collected a pass near the crease to tie it up at two. Then Charles Alexis Legault would fire a slap shot from the point which would go off the stick of Jayden Price and in to regain the lead for the Warriors. The goal would be Jayden Price’s 1st as a Warrior. Then Elan Bar Lev Wise would score off a breakaway only 90 seconds later to give the Warriors a 4-2 lead after two periods of play.

The Warriors would finish off the Smoke Eaters in the third with Chase Dafoe scoring his 2nd of the night to make it 5-2. Then Felix Trudeau would score a pair to give the Warriors a 7-2 lead. Trudeau recorded his first career BCHL hatrick off the third goal with under 8 minutes remaining in the third. Teddy Lagerback would add a late goal from the Smoke Eaters but that would be it with the Warriors winning 7-3.

The Warriors are back in action Saturday when they host the Cranbrook Bucks. Puck drop 7:00pm PST from Royal LePage Place.
