The first half of the battle for the Island Division title was swiped from the Grizzlies by the Powell River Kings last night.
Heading into the game leading by a point, the Grizzlies Kenny Johnson protected his man and on a seemingly clear hit, got a four-minute minor and a ten-minute misconduct for a “blow to the head”.

That sent the Kings on a four-minute man advantage, and what an advantage it was.
Ryan Brushett received a pretty pass from Levi Glasman and sent it to Mitchell Williams, making it 1-0.

The Garden City didn’t leave much time for a comeback, and with the help of McGrath quick hands and Kenny Johnsons pretty passes, the newcomers make it 3-2 with 15 minutes left.
