BC Hockey announced the Major Midget League (MML) All-Star team along with Coach of the Year and Player of the Year.
The MML Player of the Year is Logan Stankoven of the Thompson Blazers. Stankoven, 15, from Kamloops, BC, led the MML in scoring with 101 points (49 goals, 52 assists) in 38 games. Stankoven also set the MML record for goals in a season with 49. He became only the third 15-year-old player to record a 100-point season along with Mathew Barzal (Coquitlam, BC/Vancouver North East) in 2012-2013 and Jordan Weal (North Vancouver, BC/Vancouver North West) in 2007-2008.
Tyler Brough of the Cariboo Cougars has been named MML Coach of the Year. Brough, from Prince George, BC helped lead the Cougars to a 27-8-5 record, good for second place in the league and the team finished the season on a six (6) game winning streak. Brough has been with the Cougars since 2015.
